I met this young fella a few years ago when I sold him a house.  He invited me over this week to show me how to knit on a loom.  He is making a scarf for his son, isn’t it beautiful?  He has made some beautiful blankets as well.  He has convinced me to get a loom and give it a try.  I hope I am as patient as he is!  🙂

  1. I’m loving this one, Tammy. As was already said, it’s totally charming. My dad took up knitting when he was in his 70s and one of my most prized possessions is a blanket he made for me.

  2. What a beautiful photograph this is, Tammy.
    Truly very special.
I’m going to have to check out this loom thing, because for sure the knitting needles don’t do it for me!! 🙂

    Have a wonderful weekend!

  3. Great Life Story reporting Tammy Love the image and can’t wait to see the shots your husband takes, with your hands all tangled up with wool, when you try it! LoL

    • That is exactly how I will probably look…I have no patience and get in a hurry usually (but I can guarentee you, I won’t share that picture lol)

  4. I have a very similar looking loom, but everything I knit turns out curly round the edges, I’d love to know how he keeps his so straight.
I think you’ll be in good hands under his patient tuition.
